A Sparkling Session on Communicative English with Mr. Joseph Varghese

Recently, our Communicative English add-on course featured an enlightening session led by Mr. Joseph George. The session began with an engaging activity that caught all of us by surprise. Sir asked us to write five sentences in Malayalam and then translate them into English—all within two seconds! This task, though simple, was profound. It was designed to create a moment of self-realization among us, the future teachers, highlighting the gaps we might face in real-time classroom scenarios.

As the activity concluded, Mr. Joseph George transitioned into the core of his lesson. He emphasized the importance of using the English language effectively in schools, particularly in today's globalized world where English acts as a bridge across cultures and nations. His words resonated deeply, igniting a spark within each of us. The session was not just a routine class; it was a call to action, a reminder that as future educators, our command of the English language is crucial in shaping the next generation.

The class wrapped up around 1:00 PM, but the impact of Mr. Joseph George's session will undoubtedly linger much longer. We left the classroom with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to embrace the challenges and responsibilities that come with being effective communicators and educators in the modern world.
