As part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, PTM College of Education organized a memorable field trip on October 9, 2024. Starting at 5:00 AM, the students explored a series of scenic and historical sites, returning to college by 11:30 PM.
The journey began at the Netta Viewpoint, offering serene landscapes perfect for reflecting on Gandhiji's principles of simplicity. Next was the beautiful Thripparappu Waterfall, where students enjoyed nature's splendor and created lasting memories.
The group then visited the ancient Chitharal Jain Temple, a site rich in history and culture, before moving to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. The stunning coastal views and the visit to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial filled students with awe.
The final stop was Gandhi Smarak, where the group honored Mahatma Gandhi's legacy, visiting the place where his ashes were kept before being immersed in the sea.
This trip was a blend of adventure, education, and reflection, offering students invaluable insights into Gandhian philosophy and India’s cultural heritage—a fitting highlight of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
