Field trip

As part of our first-semester curriculum for the B.Ed. program, we, the first-year students specializing in Arts and Aesthetic, undertook a field trip to Chithranjali Studio, Kerala Arts and Craft Village, and Kovalam Beach on November 29, 2024. This trip was organized to provide practical exposure and enhance our understanding of the artistic and aesthetic aspects related to our subject. Our team was accompanied by Sanila teacher (Commerce), Aswathy teacher (Arts) and Sajin sir ( Malayalam)

The first week of my teaching practice has been a blend of excitement, nervousness, and deep learning. Stepping into the classroom not as a student but as a teacher trainee was a surreal experience. The week began with introductions and classroom observation, followed by my initial teaching sessions. I aimed to make the sessions engaging and meaningful. While I initially struggled with classroom management and sticking to the time limit, the experience helped me understand the importance of planning, flexibility, and understanding learner diversity. The students responded positively to visual aids and real-life examples, which boosted my confidence. My guide teacher provided valuable feedback, and peer interactions helped me improve further. Overall, this week has been a rewarding learning experience, and I look forward to applying new strategies and improving my teaching in the weeks to come.

weekly report (Aug 18–22)

The week from August 18 to 22 was marked by the beginning of the Onam examinations in school, which brought new responsibilities and experiences. On August 18, the first day of exams, I assisted in distributing answer sheets, arranging students in classrooms, and later joined Thiruvathira practice along with doing lunch and discipline duties. The following days, August 19 and 20, continued with similar tasks such as bringing students to classes before exams, supervising exam halls, and practicing for cultural programs, which helped me balance both academic and cultural duties. On August 21, I also completed pending work for the Social Science teacher and, along with my peer trainee, handled short exam duties in class 8, followed by upper-class exam supervision, lunch duty, and discipline duty. Capacity Building Program - Stress management

As part of the B.Ed. second-semester curriculum, a Capacity Building Program was organized under the EDU 07 paper. The objective of the program was to equip pre-service teachers with effective strategies to manage stress, particularly in the context of the teaching profession. The session, titled "Stress Management", was conducted on 7th April 2025 at 11:00 AM in the C. P. Sreekandan Nair Hall. The resource person for the session was Ms. Renjini, a well-experienced educator and trainer in the field of mental wellness and stress management
