🌟 Weekly Teaching Practice Highlights (Aug 11 – Aug 16) 🌟
The week was an enriching blend of academics, responsibilities, and celebrations.
📘 Academic Engagements:
I focused on completing the portions for Onam examinations in Class 8 and Class 9. Along with regular teaching, I conducted revision sessions, interacted actively with students, and clarified their doubts. The students showed good participation, which made the sessions lively.
🗳️ Democracy in Action:
One of the most memorable experiences was the School Parliament Election on August 14. For the first time, voting was conducted through a mobile-based voting system. I was given the responsibility of video documentation of the election process and also witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of elected candidates. It was a proud moment to see how schools instill democratic values at an early stage.
🇮🇳 Patriotic Spirit:
On August 15, the school celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The Principal hoisted the flag, followed by the NCC parade, student rally, and cultural performances. The program ended with sweet distribution, leaving a sense of pride and unity.
🎶 Cultural Preparations:
Alongside academics, preparations for Onam celebrations began. We were assigned the task of selecting a Thiruvathira song, and this involvement gave me an opportunity to be part of the cultural vibrance of the school.
📑 Administrative Duties:
This week also included several responsibilities like sealing answer papers, discipline duty, and marking desk numbers for examinations. These tasks made me realize the importance of the non-teaching aspects of school life that contribute to smooth functioning.
✨ Reflection:
Overall, this week was a balanced mix of teaching, learning, cultural exposure, and patriotic celebration. Each experience—whether inside the classroom or outside—strengthened my journey as a trainee teacher and gave me insights into the multifaceted role of educators.
