first Week:- October 21–24 – Second Phase Teaching Practice at AMHSS THIRUMALA School

The second phase of my teaching practice began on October 21, 2025, at Kamaleswaram School. The first day brought a sense of excitement and curiosity as I entered a new school environment. After signing the attendance, I interacted with the teachers and students to familiarize myself with the new surroundings. Though I didn’t have any regular classes that day, I handled substitution periods in 9A, 8B, and 9C, which helped me get to know the students better. It was a light but productive beginning, as I also received my class allotments from the mentor teacher.

On October 22, I had my first official class with 9B during the fourth period. The students were slightly noisy, but I managed to handle the class confidently and ensure participation from everyone. Noon duty and a few substitution periods filled the rest of the day, giving me more classroom experience.

By October 23, I began noticing a positive change in my teaching confidence. My 9B students started responding better and showed cooperation during lessons. I also accompanied them for their PT period, which gave me an opportunity to observe their interests beyond academics and build rapport. Noon duty and other small tasks kept me engaged throughout the day.

On October 24, I took my regular class for 9B in the third period and handled substitutions in 8D and 5B. Interacting with the younger students was quite refreshing — we played simple educational games, and their enthusiasm brightened the day. These experiences helped me improve my classroom management and adaptability as a teacher trainee.

Overall, the week from October 21 to 24 was filled with learning, interaction, and gradual growth in confidence. Every day offered a new opportunity to understand the diverse nature of students and the art of effective classroom handling.
