The week from October 27 to 31 was filled with active learning experiences, classroom interactions, and examination duties. On October 27, the school functioned only till noon, so the day was light with a few substitution duties, mainly in class 8E. It was a short but productive day that allowed me to complete my pending works. On October 28, I took charge of conducting the midterm examination in class 9B during the second period. I also managed substitution in the third period and completed my assigned works before leaving in the afternoon. The day provided me with a better understanding of the procedures involved in organizing school examinations efficiently. On October 29, there was a strike, and the classes functioned only till the afternoon. I had my teaching period in 9B during the fourth period, which was also observed by the general teacher. After the students left, we, along with the teachers, remained at school until evening, helping with discipline and other duties. On Octob...

first Week:- October 21–24 – Second Phase Teaching Practice at AMHSS THIRUMALA School

The second phase of my teaching practice began on October 21, 2025, at Kamaleswaram School. The first day brought a sense of excitement and curiosity as I entered a new school environment. After signing the attendance, I interacted with the teachers and students to familiarize myself with the new surroundings. Though I didn’t have any regular classes that day, I handled substitution periods in 9A, 8B, and 9C, which helped me get to know the students better. It was a light but productive beginning, as I also received my class allotments from the mentor teacher. On October 22, I had my first official class with 9B during the fourth period. The students were slightly noisy, but I managed to handle the class confidently and ensure participation from everyone. Noon duty and a few substitution periods filled the rest of the day, giving me more classroom experience. By October 23, I began noticing a positive change in my teaching confidence. My 9B students started responding better and showed...

Later, I took remedial teaching sessions for Class 9 students and continued portions in the regular class. On September 17, along with my lessons, I was given the responsibility to guide students with ideas for models and working projects for the upcoming Science and Social Science Fair. I also conducted remedial map work sessions for Class 9 students. These days not only gave me teaching practice but also allowed me to explore my skills in guiding, motivating, and supporting students beyond textboook.

Empowering Young Minds: My Rights, My Voice – A Conscientization Programme at GHSS Kamaleswaram

Awareness is the first step towards empowerment. As part of my B.Ed. journey, I had the wonderful opportunity to conduct a Conscientization Programme for the Upper Primary students of  Government Higher Secondary School, Kamaleswaram. The theme of the session was “My Rights, My Voice – Empowering Young Consumers,” aimed at helping students understand their consumer rights and responsibilities in a simple, engaging way. To begin the session, I built a friendly rapport with the students by asking questions like, “Have you ever gone to a shop to buy something?”and “What do you usually notice when you buy things?”Their enthusiastic responses set a lively tone and helped me smoothly lead into the topic. Through a colorful PowerPoint presentation, I explained who a consumer is, why awareness is important, and introduced the Six Consumer Rights — Right to Safety, Right to Information, Right to Choice, Right to be Heard, Right to Redressal, and Right to Consumer Education. I also discussed ...

Innovative Work Presentation on Landforms – Class 9A As part of my B.Ed. teaching practice, I presented an innovative work on “Landforms” to the students of Class 9A at GHSS Kamaleswaram. The objective of this activity was to make the topic more interesting and to help students visually understand the different landforms of the Earth in a creative and engaging way. The innovative work included a 3D model showcasing major landforms such as mountains, plateaus, plains, valleys, and deserts. Each landform was clearly labeled and color-coded to help students easily identify and differentiate between them. I also explained how these landforms are formed due to internal and external forces of the Earth such as erosion, deposition, and volcanic activity. The students were very curious and excited to explore the model. They observed each feature carefully and asked meaningful questions about how landforms are formed and their importance in human life. The visual representation helped them conn...
